Stella Castillo is currently the LA as Subject Community Archives Specialist at the University of Southern California Libraries. As the LA as Subject Community Archives Specialist, Stella actively engages with LA as Subject community archive members to increase the discoverability of their collections via the L.A. as Subject Directory Portal.
Prior to arriving at USC, Stella worked at Cal State Dominguez Hills on the CSU Japanese American Digitization Project and also served as an LA as Subject Resident
Archivist working on wide-ranging archival collections throughout Los Angeles. Stella earned her MLIS, specializing in Archival Studies, from UCLA in 2015.
